Celebrate!

All the gardens are done!  I feel like it’s now official…the growing season can begin!  But really it began months ago when I planted our lettuce, spinach, and beets.  It will be a while for the beets, but the lettuce and spinach are really growing.  It’s almost instant gratification.

After a long days work, this salad was a nice reminder why I garden.  I topped it with tomatoes, cucumbers, red peppers, and dried cranberries.  Can’t wait until all those foods are from the yard too!  It was dressed with olive oil, Seasons garlic salt, and honey from cousins in FL (thanks Jimmy, Uli, and Patrick).  Simple is best.

While I did salad prep, Steve was in charge of Yeehaw burger grilling.  They are just so good!  A summer staple for sure.  The meal was rounded out by a dose of relaxation, Saranac.  Irish Red Ale for her and Single Malt for him.

Divine.
