Kicked the day off with a butter bowl. Oats with cashew butter and apple butter. Banana pile to the side and a sprinkle of chia seeds. Plus coffee, which I only drank about half. I guess I was feeling perky enough after finally having a long nights sleep. Lately the alarm has been going off at 4:45 AM for Steve to work extra hours. Thank goodness Sundays are for rest!
Although we didn’t rest too much!
Breakfast was excellent fuel to finish construction of the herb box. Doesn’t it look beautiful?
Anytime we complete a project I feel so proud. Our house and yard are slowly coming together. Steve and I both agree that as we approach year two in our home, we finally look around and feel like it’s ours.
All that’s left for this project is staining the wood to match our white raised bed gardens and filling it with soil and herbs! These are the easy and fun tasks! And then we will rest, and enjoy the view. ![]()
Which I started to do over a delicious dinner on the patio.
Steve’s magically marinated steaks with sautéed mushrooms, peppers and onions.
Accompanied by asparagus, baked potato, and a tall glass of lemonade.
Tastes like…summer? I’ll take it. ![]()
