Ok, day 76, getting down the home stretch!! With my new sobriety my detail to cooking has been awoken, and I’m loving every minute of it. I have always cooked, and every one has said it’s great. With not drinking during food prep, I find that I take my time, I also start dinner earlier, not that it’s done earlier. I don’t rush through steps where I may have while drinking, and now that I don’t, I can tell the difference. I am back to trying out new things more often and making more difficult dishes, or baked goods, because I’m not being lazy or intimidating myself, taking on the challenge is soul filling!! My resent challenge is cooking as salt free for my husband, when I get my recipes together I will post.
You have know idea how difficult it can be on cutting salt, nothing tastes right. So pile on the herds 🤣 Any ways I will keep reading up on this and crossing my fingers hubby’s blood pressure goes down.
We all face trials and tribulations in life, the last 76 days has proven I can do them without alcohol and doing them well, and it also seems as though people around me especially the ones that really matter are happy for me. Day 76 and 24 more to go, life changes are good and old dogs can learn new tricks! Cheers to another day 🥂
