Note to Self

So you know that old saying, “You learn something new everyday,” well this afternoon I had mine. With burning a candle at both ends I thought putting my basil in a sink full of cold water, to wash while I was at work was a bad idea. I had no idea that perfectly green basil would start to blacken, and that was in a 4 hour time period. What I thought was going to lessen my work, I made it more time consuming. I wasn’t going to loose all that basil, do I had to pick through it, so I could make pesto. So with that said, I won’t be soaking the basil again, I’ll wash it and put in a strainer to dry.
